Machine-Made Sand Definition

According to the definition of machine-made sand, sand is kind of rock particles with diameter less than 4.75mm after removing dirt, crushed and screened while soft rock and weathered rock are not included. Sand specifications: according to fineness modulus (Mx), sand specification is divided into coarse, medium and thin. And among this, fineness modulus of coarse sand is 3.7-3.1, and the medium sand is 3.3-3.0, and the thin sand’s fineness modulus is 2.2-1.6.

Sand rock: There are many kinds of rocks used to make sand. Generally there are Granite, Basalt, Natural river pebbles, Andesite, Rhyolite, Diabase, Diorite, Sandstone and Limestone, etc. The sand produced is of different intensity and purposes according to the rocks’ kinds.

Machine-Made Sand Characteristics

1, The diameter of sand particles is between 4.75mm and 0.15mm.
2, The particle level of sand can be divided into 4.75, 2.36, 1.18, 0.60, 0.30 and 0.15. It’s better if they are continuous.
3, Each level should be of a certain percentage. The grain type should be of cubic.
4, Among the sand, the amount of pin sheet is different according to the requirements.

Machine-Made Sand Application

About the sand level, according to its technical requirement, it’s divided into three grades that is I, II and III. The first kind is suitable for concrete whose strength grade is more than C60. The second can be used for concrete whose strength grade is between C30 and C60, and still the sand can be used in making antifreeze, impermeability concrete or others. The last one is suitable for concrete whose strength grade is less than C30 and architectural mortar.

Brief introduction of Sand Making line:

The raw materials are first put into elementary-crushing machine for crush, then the belt conveyor transfers the elementary products to the secondary-crushing machine for secondary crush. The secondary products will be separated into two kinds by the vibrating screen. The parts satisfying the standard of the Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher will be conveyed to the sand-making machine and the other parts will return to the secondary-crushing machine. The parts into the sand-making machine will be the finished products after being washed in the sand-washing machine. The other parts will be for the secondary crush.
