Zone C Introduction

There are Africa Joint Pavilion, Caribbean Community Pavilion, Europe Joint Pavilion, Joint Pavilion of Central and South American Countries in Zone C.

 African Union Pavilion

African Union Pavilion is the biggest pavilion in Expo 2010, there are 43 indepent pavilions, they are 42 African countries and the African Union.

At the entrance of the pavilion, a gigantic African primitive sculpture with words on it reacts towards a glimmering globe, symbolizing the important role Africa plays in environmental protection and coordination of world affairs. Entering the pavilion and walking along the curving corridor, visitors will learn about development of African countries, urban transformation, economic rise and cultural carrying-on in Africa. Visitors will feel as if they were standing in between the past and the future of Africa, impressed and inspired. In the central round area for forums, visitors can watch films about urban development in Africa, especially about environmental protection and the use of clean energy in the process of development. These films will tell the world about Africa’s vitality, progressing strides and the contributions of Africa’s harmonious development to world peace and development.

 Liberia Pavilion

Pavilion Features
By displaying the efforts of the government and the people, Liberia Pavilion intends to show the country’s readiness for renaissance, happiness for regaining peace, and great confidence in the future. Liberia has a large amount of rainfall. Using ‘water’ as an elemental trace, Liberia Pavilion presents a nation with favorable geographical location, beautiful natural environment and ingenious people.

Liberia in Rain
Unlike many other African countries, Liberia is endowed with ample precipitation. This area will display Liberia’s magical landscapes and picturesque sceneries, as well as the nation’s history. You will see a real Liberia under reconstruction.

 Russia Pavilion

Taking cues from Nosov's "Adventures of DUNNO and His Friends," the main exhibition area of the Russia Pavilion consists of three parts: the City for Children, the City for Youth and the Big World, carrying themes of "the City of Flowers," "the City of Sun" and "the City of Moon" respectively. Before starting their journey, visitors are advised to envision themselves as DUNNO and his friends when travelling this fairy-tale palace.
